2012 Sydney Writers' Festival
The 2012 Sydney Writers' Festival is bringing some of the biggest names in literature to Sydney for one week of inspiring talks, panels and perfomances. This event will be held between Monday 14 May and Sunday 20 May at various locations in Sydney.
Archibald Prize Exhibition
An extraordinary art event, the eagerly awaited Archibald Prize Exhibtion never ceases to incite lively debate among both the arts community and the public. The exhibition is held at the Art Gallery of NSW until 3 June 2012.
Vivid Sydney
Sydney is all aglow as this unique event unfolds with outdoor sculptures, creative forums, live music and the jaw-dropping illumination of the Opera House sails. The lights of Vivid Sydney will go on at 6pm every night from 25 May to 11 June 2012.
Madame Tussauds
With a history dating back to the Paris of 1770, Madame Tussauds is literally a labour of love spanning 200 years of expertise and research. As the first Madame Tussauds to arrive on Australian shores, the attraction features the world's best known personalities and heroes.
Bondi Markets
Established in 1993, the Bondi Markets are open every Sunday (10am - 4pm) in the beachfront grounds of Bondi Beach Public School (along Campbell Parade).
Bondi Farmers Markets
The Bondi Farmers Markets bring you fresh seasonal fruit & vegetables, organically grown meat & poultry, just picked flowers, artisan breads, homemade jams and much more. All sold by the people who grow or make it.
Sydney International Boat Show
Australia’s premier boat show since 1968 and held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour from the 2nd August to the 6th August 2012 featuring six halls of undercover displays as well as a specially built marina in Cockle Bay.
Sun Herald City 2 Surf
The 14km fun-run held on 12th August 2012 kicks off from Sydney’s Hyde Park and finishes outside the Swiss-Grand Resort & Spa along Campbell Parade. All are welcome to join in on the fun from serious competitors to enthusiasts and roadside supporters.
Bondi Winter Magic 2012
The Bondi Winter Magic Festival festivity and fun, is being held down on Bondi Beach from June to August 2012 and focused around the winter school holiday season. Family fun activities such as the Bondi Bergstation ice rink and other fun activities throughout.
National Rugby League Premiership and Rugby Union Super 15
Come watch and enjoy the atmosphere following Australia’s favourite football codes with matches being held from March 2012 throughout to June 2012 at the Allianz Stadium (formerly Sydney Football Stadium) only minutes away from the Swiss-Grand Resort & Spa, Bondi Beach.
